A brief update to say that we received the news this week that everyone is taking a pay cut this coming year, and we will be unpaid for three of the weeks of Winter Break. I am still processing this and trying to anticipate how large of an impact financially this will have on me. The BF has kindly tried to offer various kinds of aid, but he's unemployed so I'm loathe to make use of his considerably larger savings. The real fear isn't for this coming academic year, it's the sense that this is just the beginning. When do the layoffs start?
